🔻A recently published video on social media shows that individuals of the Law Enforcement Force beat and sexually assaulted a teenager. The video has been met with many reactions on social media.
After the video went viral, the commander of the Law Enforcement Force in East Azerbaijan said that the officers present in the video had been subjected to “disciplinary punishment.”
Ali Mohammadi told the Fars news agency that these individuals had been “punished and instructed” and that “additional disciplinary actions” against them were under way.
The Law Enforcement Force commander in East Azerbaijan said that the incident occurred on 14 Khordad 1405 during a street altercation in Tabriz.
The video has sparked anger among many users. Some have spoken about police violence, saying, “When the police do such things in front of the camera, it’s not clear what they do to detainees in detention facilities and behind closed doors.”
Others, meanwhile, by pointing to the fact that the video was released on the fourth anniversary of the killing of Mahsa (Zhina) Amini while she was in the custody of the Guidance Patrol, referred to the continued violence by police in the absence of deterrent laws.
