A source with knowledge told Iran International that the health and humanitarian situation in Qom Central Prison has reached a catastrophic stage.

According to this source, due to the unsanitary conditions, most prisoners have been infected with influenza and COVID-19.

The source, pointing to severe environmental contamination, described the conditions in the prison wards as extremely dirty and filled with bedbugs and lice. He also reported the daily food rations for prisoners are meager and that their nutrition situation has been ignored.
