Abdolnaser Hemmati, head of the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic, referring to the set of sanctions and the United States’ maximum economic pressure, said: “Economic pressure is not a policy; it is a miscalculation, and it increases the cost of calculations for Americans.”

Hemmati added: “What the United States has done so far, alongside creating some income and trade restrictions, has been an attempt to intensify expectations and exert a temporary impact on market conditions.”
