According to a New York Times report, Ukraine is now using commercial satellite imagery with very low time delays to guide front-line drones. The delivery of intelligence has been reduced from several days to 15 minutes to several hours, enabling rapid targeting of personnel, equipment, supply routes and hidden Russian positions before attacks. This shift has moved satellite intelligence from senior commanders to direct use on the front line. Ukrainian units have targeted Russia’s air defenses, electronic warfare systems and logistics in Crimea and Zaporizhzhia.
