After 11 years of fighting outside the ring! 🖤 The end of one of the most heartbreaking stories in the history of boxing and sport

Pritchard Kolon in 2015 was one of boxing’s great talents, with 16 wins in 16 fights, 13 by knockout; he faced Terrell Williams in 2015. During the bout, he repeatedly complained to the referee about shots to the back that are illegal in boxing, and in the ninth round, he also fell to the canvas twice.

After the fight, Kolon went to the dressing room. He was dizzy and nauseous, and then he passed out. Doctors found severe brain bleeding and he underwent emergency surgery. He was in a coma for about 221 days. After waking up, he remained with very severe brain injury and for years needed round-the-clock care. And now, about 11 years after that fight, Pritchard Kolon died at the age of 33.

Later, his family filed a lawsuit against the ringside doctor and the event organizers, demanding more than $50 million in compensation.
