An American source who attended the meeting of the delegations of the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran in New York told the Al Arabiya news network: “Washington rejected Tehran’s request to lift the blockade.”

Without citing the name of the source, Al Arabiya quoted him as saying: “Major disagreements and obstacles continue to exist between the two sides. The chance of the United States reaching an agreement with the Islamic Republic is very limited.”
