Bahrain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, while condemning the Islamic Republic’s “terrorist attacks” on oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, asked the UN Security Council to take decisive action against the Iranian government.

In the statement, Bahrain condemned the Islamic Republic’s attack on two oil tankers belonging to the Emirati company “ADNOC” in the Strait of Hormuz and called it “terrorist attacks.”

The Bahrain Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized: these attacks are a serious threat to regional security and stability and the safety of navigation, and an explicit violation of the rules of international law and the relevant UN Security Council resolutions.

Bahrain said: the UN Security Council must act in accordance with its responsibilities and adopt firm and deterrent measures so that the Islamic Republic immediately stops all of its hostile actions and respects the freedom of safe navigation of commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

Bahrain also called for the Strait of Hormuz not to be used as a tool to exert pressure or carry out economic extortion.
