🔸Based on an estimate conducted by Brown University in the United States, the war with Iran has come with an additional $100 billion in energy costs for Americans.

🔸This estimate, released on Monday, 16 Shahrivar, says these costs increase by one million dollars every two minutes.

🔸“Monitoring the Energy Costs of the War with Iran,” launched by the Watson School of the University of Brown for International Affairs and Public Policy, has been tracking the prices of gasoline and diesel in the United States since the start of the joint U.S.-Israeli attacks on Iran on 9 Esfand last year.

🔸The estimates show that the total of these additional costs amounts to roughly $763 per household, based on an estimate of 131 million households across the country.

🔸A spike in fuel prices as a result of this war has led to discontent in the United States. About 20% of the world’s oil and gas exports pass through the Strait of Hormuz— a strait that Iran says it has closed, though the United States emphasizes that it remains open.
