🔻Cargo ship with Panama flag sinks off eastern coast of India

The Indian Coast Guard says a cargo ship with a Panama flag, named “Ocean Winner,” sank near the eastern coasts of the country.

According to the Indian Coast Guard, contact with the ship was lost on Saturday, and so far two of its crew members have been rescued from lifeboats. The cause of the sinking has not yet been determined.

Amit Uniyal, a spokesperson for the Indian Coast Guard, said the ship had 24 crew members, including 20 Chinese nationals, three citizens of Myanmar, and one Bangladeshi national.
