Changes to university entrance exam quotas will not be implemented this year

The Minister of Science says that the reform of admissions quotas for students, which has been on the government agenda since Mehr 1403, will not be implemented in the 1405 university entrance exam.

In the student admissions system, there are more than 30 types of quotas, and, according to statements by the senior advisor to the Minister of Health, in some years quota holders have made up more than 60% of admitted students.

The Ministry of Science has prepared the proposed reform package for quotas, and the package is still being reviewed by the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution.

Also, the allocation of quotas to people whose place of residence was destroyed or who were displaced during the two recent imposed wars has been put on the agenda alongside the legal quotas for veterans of sacrifice (Isargaran).
