Due to the protest presence of a large group of masked men, there has been widespread disruption at the port of Dover in southern England. Hundreds of protesters, dressed in black and wearing masks, have blocked the roads and are chanting to “Stop the boats.”

Kent Police said they “engaged with protesters” and directed the crowd toward Dover railway station at around 11:30 a.m. Greenwich Mean Time, after which the protesters began to disperse.

At first, traffic entering and leaving the port was halted, but officials now say the access roads are “open.”

Paul King, a Reform UK party member and a member of the Dover West district council, said he was told that these protests were related to migrant boats.

Images of hundreds of protesters have been released showing that all of them are dressed in black and wearing masks.

A government spokesperson said they condemn “behavior in Dover and the travel disruption caused by it.”

Protesters told the BBC that they do not want to speak to the media, although one of them said “Send them back” and another said “Stop the boats.”
