Elon Musk: China will solve chip constraints in 2-3 Years

Elon Musk said Chinese AI models are generally outstanding during an interview with China Media Group (CMG) on Wednesday.

He noted that despite limited compute, Chinese AI companies are topping intelligence rankings — calling their performance-per-unit-of-compute "by far the best."

Musk also predicted China will overcome its compute limitations through advances in lithography and chip-making within just 2-3 years — faster than most expect.
