Etemad newspaper reported that the oil pollution that had been moving from the coasts of Oman had reached the waters and shores of Qeshm Island, and had also affected parts of mangrove forests.

Ehsan Daneshvar, senior researcher in the field of environment and energy, said to Iran International after examining the path of sea currents, satellite images, and the available evidence that the oil pollution on the southern coasts of Oman is most likely not from a single source.
