The European Parliament’s plenary session in Strasbourg reviewed a report on foreign interference and hybrid threats against member states. In this report, Iran was listed alongside Russia, China, Belarus, and North Korea as a threat.
Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament, also at the start of the session, criticized the continuation of crackdowns in Iran and called for the release of Taraneh and Roona Rahimi, two imprisoned sisters who have been sentenced to severe judicial penalties.
