🔶 Hossein Rasouli-Nasab sentenced to death over the Dey protests

Hossein Rasouli-Nasab, one of those detained in the Dey 1404 protests in Shandiz, has been sentenced to death by the Revolutionary Court of Mashhad.

Human rights news agency Hengaw, which has published this report based on the information it has received, writes that Rasouli-Nasab is facing charges such as “enmity with God through participation in the destruction of public property, setting fire to religious centers and gatherings, and conspiring against the security of the country.”

A source close to the family, with confirmation of this news to Hengaw, said: “During the protests on 18 and 19 Dey 1404 in Shandiz, a mosque and a Dar al-Quran were set on fire, and Hossein’s case was filed in connection with these events.”

Hengaw writes that Hossein Rasouli-Nasab is married and a father of two children, and that during the Dey protests in Shandiz, he was arrested along with several other citizens.

After some time, he was transferred to Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad; a place where he is still being held.
