— House Democrats leader Hakeem Jeffries and Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law, held a private meeting in New York to discuss likely areas of cooperation between Democrats and the government in the event Democrats win the House of Representatives, according to The New York Times.
The meeting was described as a broad conversation and a face-to-face update session between Jeffries and Kushner that they have stayed in touch since their previous joint work on criminal justice laws during Trump’s first term as president.
