🔶 HRANA: Manouchehr Bakhtiyari is deprived of treatment in Bandar Abbas prison

Despite suffering from several illnesses and having the need for his immediate treatment confirmed by Forensic Medicine, Manouchehr Bakhtiyari remains deprived of access to specialized medical services in Bandar Abbas prison.

The “HRANA” news agency, the news arm of a network of human rights activists in Iran, has reported that Manouchehr Bakhtiyari is suffering from “prostate disease, a neck disc, spinal canal stenosis, and cardiac problems,” and that his physical condition is unfavorable.

A source informed close to his family told HRANA that Manouchehr Bakhtiyari has severe pain in both of his hands and has experienced numbness. The source also said that Forensic Medicine has confirmed the worsening of Manouchehr Bakhtiyari’s physical condition and emphasized the necessity of his immediate treatment. However, prison officials continue to refuse to transfer him to specialized medical centers outside the prison.

Manouchehr Bakhtiyari, who was serving his period of exile in Bandar Abbas, was arrested on Dey 29, 1404 and transferred to the prison of that city. After his arrest, a new case was opened against him following a complaint by the Bandar Abbas prosecutor.
