Iran’s Islamic Republic Army says it attacked targets in Kuwait and the UAE

🔸The Islamic Republic of Iran’s army said in a statement that it carried out missile and drone attacks on U.S. bases in Kuwait and the UAE on the morning of Thursday, 12 Shahrivar.

🔸In its statement, the Iranian army claimed that it attacked “satellite communications systems,” “equipment depots,” and “fighter aircraft hangars” of the U.S. Army at the Ahmad Al Jaber Air Base in Kuwait with missiles and drones, and that they were hit.

🔸The statement also reported missile and drone attacks on “the locations where forces are stationed” and “radar systems” of the U.S. Army at the Al Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates.

🔸The UAE has not yet confirmed carrying out any new attacks on this country, but Kuwait’s army had confirmed early on Thursday that it was targeted by Iran’s missile and drone attacks.

🔸In a statement, Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while strongly condemning the new attacks by Iran, called them “a direct threat to the security, stability, and safety of Kuwait’s citizens and residents” and “a flagrant violation of international law,” and said it reserves its right to take “all necessary measures” to “preserve sovereignty, ensure security, and defend the country and vital installations against any aggression or threat.”
