👈 Iranian Islamic Republic officials to The New York Times:
Hardline generals, including Brigadier General Seyyed Majid Mousavi, the commander of the Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, presented a detailed war plan to the Supreme National Security Council.
The plan calls for expanding attacks against U.S. forces and the region’s oil infrastructure by the IRGC and its allied groups, especially the Houthis (Ansar Allah) in Yemen and Shiite militias in Iraq.
President Masoud Pezeshkian and the Speaker of Parliament, Ghalibaf, opposed the plan and warned that it could pull the country into a much bigger war, lead to an increase in U.S. airstrikes, and deepen the country’s economic crisis.
