Iranian media, citing the country’s seismological center, announced an earthquake of magnitude 4.7 on Tuesday evening, 27 Mordad, shaking parts of the border areas of Iran’s province of “Razavi Khorasan.” The epicenter of the earthquake was in Afghanistan, near Iran’s borders, and its tremors were felt in the border cities of Razavi Khorasan province. According to reports, the earthquake occurred at 22:21:09 at a depth of 10 kilometers in Afghanistan, and residents of areas around Taybad and Kariz in Razavi Khorasan province of Iran also felt it. So far, no report has been received regarding any possible property or human casualties in Iran’s border areas.
