Iranian media have reported a fire in part of the Hyrcanian forests in Mazandaran. According to the Tasnim report, affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the blaze has occurred in a widespread and scattered manner in parts of the forests of Behsahr County, and relief and operational forces have been deployed in the area to control and contain it.

Fires in Iran’s environment—especially in the forests of the north and west of the country—have repeatedly made headlines, and citizens have criticized the disregard and irresponsibility of government officials.
