🔺Islamic Republic: We believe the missing pilots are prisoners in Qatar

▪The Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic announced that, until the fate of three missing Iranian pilots becomes clear, it considers them to be prisoners in Qatar. Doha has denied this.

▪Ismail Baghaei said on Monday: “Obtaining clarification about their situation is necessary. Until the status of the pilots is made clear, we consider them prisoners and we will not hold back any effort to clarify their fate.”

▪On Saturday, the Islamic Republic for the first time claimed that these pilots were held as prisoners in Qatar. Before that, it had said that one pilot was killed and three people were missing.

▪Earlier, Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson had said: “We firmly reject the claims published regarding the detention of Iranian pilots.”
