“Ismail Baqai,” the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic, said on Monday, 26 Mordad 1405, that due to what he called the “serious and widespread violation” by the United States of the understanding reached on 28 Khordad, no dialogue has been initiated between Tehran and Washington, and as a result, the “60-day deadline” has “lost its relevance.”

In his press conference, Baqai rejected the existence of a 60-day deadline in the Iran–United States understanding and said: “In the text of the memorandum of understanding, there is no item under the title of a 60-day deadline, and the Islamic Republic of Iran has never set its policies under pressure, ultimatum, or a time-bound deadline.”
