Ismail Baqai, the spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic, said that the countries of the region have concluded that the U.S. military presence in West Asia “creates insecurity,” and that Washington’s allies also consider the United States “unreliable.”
Baqai said: “The clichés that have been constructed at the international level against the Islamic Republic, at least in the public opinion of their own countries, have created a basis for the idea that there is no alternative but to attack Iran.”
He added that narratives such as “supporter of terrorism,” “violator of human rights,” and “religious dictatorship” were used to justify sanctions and war against Iran.
