🔸Israel’s prime minister posted, on the X social network, a video in which he wrote: “We destroyed Iran’s biggest base outside Iran, the Ali Al-Taher tunnels in Lebanon.”
🔸On Thursday evening, September 19, Benjamin Netanyahu, in continuation of the same message, wrote: “We are in the process of completing the mission.”
🔸Netanyahu also, in a joint statement with Israel Katz, Israel’s defense minister, by announcing the destruction of the tunnels in the Ali Al-Taher hills, described it as a “strategic terrorist infrastructure” and claimed that these facilities were “built by Iran over two decades, with funding and planning.”
🔸He added that the destruction of these facilities “completes the achievement of operational control over the Al-Taher mountain range—both at ground level and underground.”
🔸Lebanon’s state news agency also reported that Israel carried out a “massive explosion” in the Ali Al-Taher hills in the Nabatiyeh area, which “caused tremors and a tremendous roar.”
🔸Earlier, the Israeli army had announced that it destroyed the Hezbollah tunnel network in the Ali Al-Taher heights using more than 1,100 tons of explosive materials.
