Majd Amini, the father of Zhina (Mahsa) and his mother, on the eve of the fourth anniversary of their daughter’s killing, reacted to insulting remarks by Ahmad Ariyaninejad, a representative of Malayer in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, by posting stories on Instagram.
An excerpt from the text: “ I learned that Ahmad Ariyaninejad, a representative of Malayer in the parliament, has insulted our daughter, our family, and all the people of Kurdistan and Iran with words such as he himself and his predecessors deserve, and with phrases that have no place in any creed, ideology, or understanding.
His insult does not diminish the value and exalted standing of our daughter. It is strange that, in a situation where people in this country are at the height of poverty and destitution because of the decisions of men like this representative, and thousands of girls and boys of the same age as Zhina are burning in sorrow over the future that he set on fire, they have still gone after our daughter! They say that our “beloved angel” “has met her end.” May your tongue be severed, for you have not only “sent a whole country to its end,” but also have received not even a shred of “shame,” neither from reason and wisdom, nor from an iota of it.”
