Maryam Rahmati, an Iran International reporter, reported on Thursday, 26 Shahrivar, that China and Russia vetoed a draft resolution by the United States at a UN Security Council meeting to extend the mandate of a panel of experts monitoring sanctions on the Islamic Republic.

The draft resolution obtained 11 votes in favor, two against, and two abstentions, but it was not adopted due to the negative votes of China and Russia, two permanent members of the Security Council.
