Mehdi Chamran, chairman of the Tehran City Council, said at the sidelines of the «martyrs for the government» march that the participants, with different ages, jobs, and appearances, have come to show their support for the leadership and the Islamic Republic.

He added that the enemy is «on the decline toward collapse» and that if it continues on its path, «it will face even harsher backhanders».
