Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf, the Speaker of Parliament, said that the Americans have certainly understood that the era of “proportionate responses” has ended, and that our strikes in recent operations were only a start; and if they still haven’t understood by today, they must understand before it’s too late that the rules of the game have changed.
The Speaker added that from now on, any violation of Iran’s interests and security will receive a response “faster, heavier, and more painful.”
Qalibaf added: “People who have stood up to the American enemy with their lives will bear hardship, but they will not tolerate mismanagement and shortcoming, and they expect us to manage this field quickly—this is the people’s unquestionable right.”
He continued: “Alongside the military arena, today our main battle is in the field of production and the people’s livelihoods. Severe fluctuations in the exchange rate, inflation, unemployment, and market management are fundamental challenges that have put serious pressure on people’s livelihoods.”
