Mohammad Sadegh Maqtedyan, Governor of Tehran, called for the return of schools that have been placed at the disposal of other agencies, and said that these educational spaces must be made available to the Ministry of Education before the start of the school year.
Maqtedyan said: “These educational spaces must be made available to the Ministry of Education before the start of the school year, and in cases where they face challenges, the relevant agency should inform the province about the issue in order to provide alternative space and resolve the problem.”
The Governor of Tehran did not specify which agencies have schools at their disposal.
In recent months, the military institutions of the Islamic Republic of Iran, including the Basij and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, as well as the Law Enforcement Force (NAJA), have used schools to deploy their forces.
