Mohammadreza Aliannejad, deputy for training and education of the Islamic Republic Army, said in an interview with Fars News Agency that the military doctrine of the Islamic Republic is defensive, and added: “If it is decided that a preemptive attack is to be carried out, then certainly both the capability for it exists and the forces have undergone the necessary training.”

He emphasized that infiltration and attack trainings using different equipment are provided in the air force, ground forces, and navy, and that the operation is feasible.

Aliannejad also said that in the 12-day war, the army reached the necessity of rapid transfer of battlefield experiences, realistic training, and training multi-skilled forces, and that these experiences were applied in the 40-day war.
