🔶 Mohsen Rezaei: We will announce a prohibited area outside the Strait of Hormuz
Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of the Supreme National Security Council and former commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, said on Sunday evening, 15 Shahrivar (6 September), in a special televised news interview that Iran has adopted a new strategy regarding war and negotiations. Rezaei emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz is currently “completely closed,” and called the United States’ claim that it is open “false” and “pure lies.”
Rezaei said that “Trump’s withdrawal from the Islamabad agreement” has made Iran “forced to change course.”
The secretary of the Supreme National Security Council continued and claimed that, 48 hours earlier, for the first time, Iran tested an anti-ship missile over an American warship.
The former commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps considered the first consequence of Iran’s new approach in the Strait of Hormuz and announced: «Before the war, billions of dollars’ worth of oil were passing through this waterway, but now perhaps seven to eight food-carrying ships are passing through it. The Americans are trying to pass five to six ships from the rocks of Oman with a silent device, but most of them are damaged, and none of them passes through safely.»
