🔻Oil prices remain high despite Iran and US attacks being halted over the past 24 hours

After a surge in oil prices following the United States’ attacks on Tuesday evening and Iran’s retaliatory response early Wednesday morning, oil prices in global markets have remained close to $100 per barrel. This is while, on Thursday, no report of new clashes was transmitted.

The price of a barrel of North Sea Brent oil on Thursday was reported at $95.89, which is almost equal to its price on Wednesday morning, after the US airstrikes on 40 targets in southern Iran.

This comes as last week Brent oil was $85 per barrel.
