On Friday, 16 Mordad 1405, after delivering Friday prayers, many Friday prayer leaders in cities across Iran emphasized “avenging” the slain leader of the Islamic Republic and, in various ways, expressed opposition to diplomacy and negotiations with the United States.

“Abdolnabi Mousavifard,” the Friday prayer leader in Ahvaz, who had previously also stressed the need for harsh retaliation against what he called the “killers of the martyred leader,” announced that the Islamic Republic is preparing to increase the range of its missiles to 15,000 kilometers so that it can target “America’s depth.”

“Alireza Arefi” addressed the governments of the region and said: “Borrowed security and begging for security from America is not what saves you. As long as you have enemies of Islam and Iran, the roar of our missiles will threaten you.”
