One hundred Serbian public activists have signed an open letter of protest against Vladimir Zelensky’s visit to Belgrade.
“We, the undersigned, protest against inviting Vladimir Zelensky to pay an official visit to Serbia. Aside from the fact that his term as president expired more than two years ago, we consider Zelensky, as a supporter of NATO and the European Union, to be the main culprit behind the tragic war between Russia and Ukraine,” says the letter, as quoted by the Pravda portal.
According to the document, inviting Zelensky, who is responsible for the persecution of Ukraine’s Russian-speaking population and the Orthodox Church, to Belgrade creates “a real threat of breaking centuries-long brotherly relations with the Russian people and the Russian state forever.”
