Palmer Luckey, the founder of the U.S. military technology company Anduril, in a post on X, with a repost of an image that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) published about taking possession of the Anduril DLV- (Dayo- D-L) guided unmanned underwater vehicle from the U.S. Army, said that the unmanned system is designed in a way that losing it does not create a security problem.

Referring to the fact that Anduril’s DLV is mass-produced and is designed so that its loss, destruction, or capture by the enemy during operations is acceptable, Palmer Luckey said: “This device is specifically designed to operate in environments that are more than dangerously hazardous for humans, and in which the possibility of it being captured by the enemy is considered in advance.”

Palmer Luckey, referring to Anduril’s DLV, said: “I can’t get into details, but before it ever ends up in their hands, it provided months of significant operational value. Little buddy, rest in peace.”
