🔻A report by the U.S. Department of Defense Inspector General confirmed shortages of strategic weapons as a result of the war with Iran, which is completely at odds with what Donald Trump says.

In the first mandatory report of its kind, the Inspector General’s office told Congress that between February 28 and June 30, the cost estimate for the “Rage of Courage” operation was $33.4 billion, including $22.3 billion for expended munitions.

The report said: “The consumption of munitions in the Rage of Courage operation has led to strategic shortfalls in stockpiles and identified bottlenecks in the industrial base for delivering munitions.”

The report said: “To address shortfalls and delays, the Pentagon is working to simplify the procurement process and the time required to produce and store critical materials and components, and to select munitions.”

The report also noted that increasing production capacity requires “significant” time.
