Reuters reported on Wednesday, the first of Mehr, citing the Embassy of India in Oman, that in an attack on the bulk carrier “MV Cape Dau,” which was en route to India, an Indian citizen was killed. The embassy added that, to ensure the safety of all crew members of the ship, including 19 Indian nationals, it is closely coordinating with Omani authorities. Oman’s Maritime Security Center announced on Wednesday that after the attack on the vessel near the province of Musandam in Oman, it carried out evacuation operations for the crew. The center said that in total 27 crew members were evacuated and one crew member was killed, but it did not announce his nationality.
