The security institution of Iraq’s Kurdistan Region announced that two drones that had taken off from Iran’s border area targeted on Monday, 26 Mordad, Masrour Barzani’s personal office, the prime minister of the Kurdistan Region, and the home of the head of the security and intelligence agency of this region.

So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack, but Masrour Barzani, by posting a message on the X social network, called the attacks “reckless and unacceptable” and strongly condemned them.

Barzani described the attacks as a “dangerous escalation” and a direct threat to the security and stability of the Kurdistan Region. He said that, based on investigations by the Kurdistan Region’s anti-terrorism service, his personal office and the home of the head of the security and intelligence agency of the Kurdistan Region were targeted by “Iranian drone attacks.”
