The government spokesperson of the Islamic Republic said he hopes there will be no need to change the first and second gasoline quotas, and if any action becomes necessary, the public will be consulted beforehand.

Fatemeh Mova jjerani said: “We will definitely speak with the people beforehand, and we will not make a decision without informing the people.”

She added that the adjustment of the price of third-tier gasoline due to wartime conditions had been postponed.

The third-tier gasoline rate increased from 5,000 to 10,000 tomans per liter starting on 17 Shahrivar. The 1,500- and 3,000-toman quotas have not changed.

Iran’s energy supply crisis is not limited to gasoline, and at present, supplying electricity to water, gas, and diesel is also facing problems.
