TASS, the Russian news agency, reported that Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, in response to the warning by the U.S. Treasury Secretary to countries that support the Islamic Republic, said that Russia will maintain its friendly and cooperative relations with Iran and will develop them even further.

Peskov said: “It is unlikely that the United States can or should put relations with any country under its control. We have partners and friends, and we will develop our relations with them.”
