The 26th season of Iran’s Premier League football competitions will begin on Friday, 23 Mordad, with a match between the teams Esteghlal Tehran and Mes Kerman Satraw.
The 25th season had remained unfinished due to wartime conditions.
In this season as well, Esteghlal and Persepolis are barred from their home stadiums, because, according to officials of the Football Federation, the renovation process of Azadi Stadium may be completed in the second half of the season.
Esteghlal Club has officially announced the attendance of its male and female fans in this match, but it has been announced that only 5,400 tickets will be made available to spectators.
The latest football match in Iran with spectators took place on 11 Dey 1404, when Sepahan and Esteghlal played against each other, and on Friday spectators will be able to come to the stadium after 225 days.
Iranian sports officials, citing the protests of Dey, held some matches without spectators and, with the start of wartime conditions, suspended the Premier League.
