The International Energy Agency has reported a remarkable surge in electric car sales worldwide and predicted that electric vehicles will account for 29% of total sales in car markets this year.
Electric vehicle sales across the world over the summer of this year have increased by 35% compared to spring (before the Strait of Hormuz was blocked and the prices of oil products surged).
The report adds that sales of electric vehicles in Australia, Brazil, India, South Korea, and Vietnam have doubled since the Islamic Republic began blocking the Strait of Hormuz in March of this year.
This year, electric vehicle sales are expected to grow by 10% compared to last year, reaching more than 80 million units.
