The Washington Post, in a report on the progress of a plan in the administration of Donald Trump, announced the sale of $2.8 billion in new arms to Israel.

In the report, citing an American official whose name was not disclosed, it said that the above-mentioned plan is considered the largest shipment of two-thousand-pound bombs to Israel in recent years.

The arms package will include 40,000 two-thousand-pound bombs, of which 20,000 are “MK-84” bombs and 20,000 are “BLU-117” bombs, along with 20,000 penetrator warheads “IA-2000.”

The Washington Post says that the U.S. Congress has been informed of this plan under informal review.
