This man had a cold, cruel, and controlling demeanor. When Beren decides to separate from him, Halis hires someone to spray nitric acid on her face, and Beren loses one of her eyes. Afterward, Beren always covers her eye with her hair, but despite this incident she continues her career as a singer—and because of her new look, she even becomes more famous.
