Trump, in a speech in South Carolina, said the U.S.’s performance toward the Islamic Republic has been very good, like its performance toward Venezuela, and the United States has weakened the Iranian government to such an extent that no one wants to become the president of Iran. He said: “We make billions and billions of dollars from Venezuela. We have very good relations with Venezuela.” Trump added: “With Iran, we are doing just as well. When another country doesn’t have a navy, an air force, radar, technical equipment, and manufacturing capacity, its leaders are gone, the second group of its leaders is gone, and part of its third group of leaders is also gone. In fact, this is one of the biggest problems of mine. I don’t know which damned person I should deal with. It’s a problem.” He said: “It’s the only country in the world where nobody wants to be its president. They say who wants to be president and everybody says no, no, I don’t want to be president. So that’s kind of a problem.”
