The UK Maritime Trade Operations agency said a bulk carrier in the Strait of Hormuz was targeted with an unidentified projectile that struck its hull.

Based on a warning released this morning, the report has been confirmed and was recorded on Friday evening. Accordingly, it was announced that the crew are safe, no damage assessment has been reported, and the environmental impact is currently unclear.

The attached map in the warning shows the location of the incident near the port of Qomazr near Oman.

Qomazr is in the Musandam peninsula of Oman and lies on the southern route of the Strait— the same corridor where most of the IRGC attacks on passing ships in recent weeks have taken place.
