The UK Maritime Trade Operations Centre (UKMTO) said that a tanker was targeted by a drone attack as it was leaving the Strait of Hormuz, and that in this incident the ship sustained minor damage.

According to a statement from the center published on Friday, 23 Mordad, all crew members of the tanker are safe and no report of pollution or environmental damage has been released as a result of the incident.

In its report, UKMTO did not disclose the name of the tanker or the party responsible for the attack. The center also urged passing ships to transit with greater caution and to report any suspicious activity.
