The U.S. Southern Command (Southcom) released images of the transfer of U.S. humanitarian aid to Colombia following the recent earthquake.
According to Southcom, a U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster transport aircraft moved a cargo of equipment and essential aid to the city of Medellín so that it could be distributed among the areas severely affected.
The operation is part of U.S. assistance led by the U.S. Department of State.
On Monday, Mordad 19, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, following the earthquake in Colombia, announced that the United States stands with the people of this country and is prepared to support Colombia in the process of relief and addressing the consequences of the incident.
