🔶 Warning by Two Democratic Senators About the Conditions of Crew on the USS Abraham Lincoln

Two American senators, citing reports published about the conditions of the crew aboard the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, asked the Navy for explanations and to carry out an official visit to the ship.

Earlier reports had been published about shortages of food and essential items, problems with water and plumbing, long shifts, and worsening mental health conditions among the crew of this aircraft carrier.

Richard Blumenthal, an American senator from the Democratic Party, on Wednesday, August 12 (21 Mordad), in a letter to Pete Hegseth, the U.S. Secretary of Defense, asked the Navy to provide explanations regarding the conditions aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier.

In his letter, he pointed out that the ship “has been on duty for more than 250 days and has been anchored nowhere on the coast for more than 200 days, thereby setting a record for the highest number of consecutive days at sea.”
